Now, passengers who book flights using the convenient EVA Wings online system can also select their seats.  The added Web site function at www.evaair.com enables passengers to choose the seats they want as far as 100 days in advance of departure, and up to 24 hours before the flight.

After a passenger has booked a flight using EVA's Web site, he/she can simply click on the "Seat Selection" function and pick the one they want from among those available.  The new EVA Wings feature enhances the online booking process, and makes it even more convenient.

"This new function is an added benefit of our online booking service," said K.W. Nieh, senior vice president of EVA Air's Public Relations Division.  "Now, in just a few minutes with a few clicks, EVA passengers can book, buy and make seat selections.  All they have left to do is to pack and check in at the airport."

Passengers who book and buy tickets through EVA Wings also have opportunities to participate in special promotional programs detailed on the airline's Web site.  Now through Dec. 31, 2003, travelers on routes linking Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe who complete ticket transactions using EVA Wings will be entered in monthly drawings for complimentary tickets upgraded by one class from the one purchased (those whose tickets cannot be upgraded will be given a Super First Class ticket plus 7,000 bonus miles).  And after multiple online ticket purchases, they will be eligible to participate in three super drawings that will be held at the end of the promotion for 10 free tickets.  Those who book and take two or more trips on any route will be included in a drawing to win one of seven Evergreen Deluxe Class tickets.  Those who book and buy three or more will have an opportunity to win one of two Super Business Class tickets.  And those who make four or more ticket purchases will be entered in a drawing to win one Super First Class ticket.    

Members of EVA's Evergreen Club frequent flyer program who have both booked and completed the ticketing process using EVA Wings after March 1, 2003 are already enjoying special benefits.  They earn 1,000 bonus miles for trips within Asia and 5,000 bonus miles for all other destinations when they purchase Economy or Evergreen Deluxe travel online.  They earn 1,500 additional miles within Asia and 7,000 for all other destinations whenever they purchase Super Business or Super First Class tickets.  With the third ticket they purchase, EVA passengers get a special double bonus that is twice the 1,000, 1,500, 5,000 or 7,000 miles earned with the corresponding destination and class of cabin service booked.

EVA's expansion and enhancement of its Web site function parallels the development and widespread use of the Internet.  EVA's additional online services include a multitude of features associated with the Evergreen Club, such as applying for membership, updating personal data, and verifying mileage accrual.
