By a wide margin, EVA Airways was selected as the 'Best International Carrier for 2002' for Travel Com Monthly magazine's '2003 Gold List.' The rapidly growing airline proved to be the number-one choice for 44.22 percent of the readers participating in the Taiwan-based magazine's annual survey.

EVA led Singapore Airlines, which netted 29.2 percent; Japan Asia Airways with 18.03 percent; China Airlines with 17.19 percent; and Cathay Pacific with 12.45 percent.  The magazine surveyed 2,000 readers and recognized the five top-ranking organizations in several travel-industry categories.  Throughout the five years the magazine has compiled its 'Gold List,' EVA has consistently placed as one of the top airlines serving Taiwan.
