EVA’s flights shave hours off of travel time for residents of Toronto and Eastern Canada who fly back and forth to Asia for family, business and leisure. As a global city and financial powerhouse, Toronto fits nicely into EVA’s well-developed network, linked through Taipei to leading business and leisure destinations throughout Asia and worldwide. The airline’s numerous connecting flights, including service to China’s 15 major cities, make it easy to plan itineraries and reach countless destinations. EVA is starting its Toronto service with three flights a week and bookings are strong. Travelers can book, buy and reserve seats through travel agents and brokers, by calling EVA toll-free at 800-695-1188.
EVA flight BR36 departs from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 18:40 (6:40 pm) on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and arrives at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport at 20:55 (8:55 pm) the same day the aircraft leaves Asia. Return flight BR35 departs Toronto at 01:30 (1:30 am) on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and lands in Taoyuan at 05:25 (5:25 am) on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Approximate flight time from Taoyuan to Toronto is 14 hours and 15 minutes and from Toronto back to Taipei, 16 hours. EVA is operating a new, technically advanced Boeing 777-300ER on the Toronto route.
Passengers from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) can now fly to Taipei and make easy same-day onward connections to Manila, Phnom Penh, Saigon, Hanoi, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau and 15 destinations in China. Travelers bound for North America are discovering Taipei to be a welcoming portal for flights to Toronto where they can continue on to Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec and Halifax with minimal transit time.
In addition to competitive fares and service options to fit a broad range of business travelers, EVA has also worked with travel agents to create tour packages that complement current products offered in Canada and America. The new packages set the stage for travelers to enjoy Ontario’s beauty and majesty along with the global sophistication of its international cities. EVA began flying to Vancouver in June 1999 and the new Toronto service gives passengers the convenience of six flights a week from two of Canada’s major metropolitan areas. More information about EVA and its services, along with user-friendly booking and seat selection options, are available at www.evaair.com.
