 1.Whom should I contact if I did not receive an EVA AIR ELECTRONIC TICKET RECEIPT after completing my purchase online? 
 A:A:  As soon as you complete and confirm your booking, a reservation reference number and ticket number will be displayed on the screen or such information will be provided by e-mail afterwards . Please  contact Us by Phone at EVA AIR Reservation if you have not received it.  We will resend it to your E-mail address that you provided to us.   
 2.This is my first time to buy a ticket on the EVA website.  What should I pay attention to?

 3.I am an EVA frequent flyer member.  What kind of discount will EVA provide if I buy tickets on the EVA website? 
 A:A:  To express EVA’s appreciation to all of our frequent flyer members for their support, the EVA website frequently announces promotional fares to only these select members. Please log in with your member data before going to Online Reservation.  Members will be able to view special unannounced promotions with some mileage deductions.  Please refer to PROMOTIONS for complete details. 
 4.What other products does EVA sell on its website besides tickets? 
 A:A:  The EVA website not only allows you to purchase tickets, but also offers the following services:
(1) Hotels
(2) Car rental
 
 5.Can I apply for a refund using the EVA Web site ? 
 A:If you purchased the ticket on the EVA Web site, it can be refunded through our online system. To get a refund for a paper ticket purchased through the EVA Web site, you must send or present the ticket to the specified ticketing office. After you have completed a refund application, you can inquire about the progress of the process on our Web site using your credit card number and the passenger name. Refund processing time is approximately two months and any applicable service charges will be applied accordingly. (For paper tickets, refunds will be processed after the ticket has been received by the designated EVA ticketing office.) 
 6.Are there any additional travel charges other than the ticket fare (i.e. airport tax) that I have to pay ? 
 A:There are travel taxes and fees that may be required in addition to your ticket fare. Most of these are set by government authorities or airport operators at arrival and departure points. These taxes and additional charges may be included or excluded in ticket fares, and you may also be required to pay additional taxes or travel charges upon arrival or departure at an airport.
For itineraries with paper tickets and originating in the U.S.A./Canada, tickets will be sent to your credit card billing address by express delivery and a non-refundable shipping fee will be charged to the credit card used to pay for the tickets. Ticket fares and the non-refundable shipping fee will be listed as separate charges on your credit card bill.
 
 7.Where do I get the ticket I have purchased online ? 
 A:Depending upon your itinerary, the ticket you have purchased online may be provided electronically or as a traditional paper ticket.
We will issue an electronic ticket if you are traveling on EVA flights and will not be using more than four flight coupons. An electronic ticket is much more convenient than a paper ticket. As soon as an electronic ticket is issued, all of your ticket data is stored in our electronic database. When you check-in at the airport, you can easily get your boarding pass by presenting your passport and the credit card you used to pay for the ticket.
We will issue a paper ticket if your itinerary cannot be served electronically. For travel originating in Taiwan, paper tickets should be picked up at a ticketing counter at the EVA airport office at least two hours before your scheduled departure. For travel originating in the U.S.A./Canada, your ticket will be sent to your credit card billing address by express delivery.
 
 8.How many passengers can I book with one reservation ? 
 A:A maximum of four tickets (for adults and children) can be booked in each transaction as long as one of the passengers is the adult cardholder who is paying for the transaction. A child is someone who has reached his/her second but not 12th birthday by the date travel commences. 
 9.Can I make a change or cancel in routing using a ticket purchased through the EVA online booking system? If changes have not been made before departure, can I just show up at the airport and take care of it when I check in for the flight ? 
 A:Any changes in your travel date or routing are subject to applicable fare rules/conditions, in addition to seat availability, and passengers need to contact one of our ticketing offices in advance to make the necessary changes. Otherwise the booking or ticket may not be accepted upon check-in at the airport and passenger may have to purchase a new ticket for travel on the desired dates and routing. 
 10.Can passengers who are not Evergreen Club members or registered on the internet site use the EVA online booking system ? 
 A:As long as your travel meets the Terms and Conditions that apply to our online booking system, you can make your reservation and buy your ticket on EVA Air’s Web site.  Though we welcome your Evergreen Club membership, you do not have to be a member of our frequent flyer program to book travel online. 
 11.If I already have a ticket, can I make a reservation through the online booking system ? 
 A:Please contact an EVA reservation/ticketing office to make your reservation if you are already holding a ticket. 
 12.Can I change the passenger name after I have completed my purchase online ? 
 A:Names cannot be changed. If a ticketed passenger will not be traveling, please apply for a ticket refund. To minimize inconvenience to our passengers, we must confirm the accuracy of all the passenger information we are given. If you are an Evergreen Club member, please be sure your name appears on Evergreen Club membership materials in the same way it is shown on your passport.  Use your name as it appears on these documents to make your online bookings and ensure that all your mileage credits are accumulated. 
 13.Why is it necessary for the credit card used to purchase the ticket to be presented at the counter upon check-in at the airport ? 
 A:This requirement safeguards the cardholder and helps prevent credit card fraud. All passengers who purchase tickets online are required to present the credit card they used when they check in at the airport. EVA Air may reserve the right to deny boarding to passengers who fail to present the original credit card used to purchase ticket. 
 14.Can I select my seat when I book and buy my ticket online ? 
 A:Yes, if your flights are on EVA Air you can select your seat online for flights depart at least 24 hours after but no more than 100 days.Currently we do not provide modification function for a pre-select seat, please contact EVA Air  reservation office for modification.
Passengers who have used our advance seat selection service are requested to complete check-in procedures at least one hour before their flight is scheduled to depart. Due to certain unforeseen reasons, EVA reserves the right to adjust the seats other than those been pre-selected by passengers without prior notice.
 
 15.Can I be wait-listed for a flight or keep my return travel date open when I book online ? 
 A:You can keep your return ticket itineraries with open dates online, but for wait-list bookings please contact our reservation office.

Notes

  1. To use debit cards issued in China, please make sure your issuing bank has authorized the card for online use.
  2. You can use Visa and MasterCard if they are the type with the card number and name stamped into them. Please type your first and last names exactly as they appear on the credit card. Please ensure that you have registered for Verified by Visa (Visa) or MasterCard SecureCode (MasterCard) if your card issuer offers these online security features.

For itineraries originating in the U.S.A./Canada which include a sector operated by another carrier, the credit card used for payment must be issued within the U.S.A./Canada and the billing address must also be within the U.S.A./Canada.

*Passenger or one of the travel companions must be the credit card holder. You are required to present the credit card used to purchase the ticket during check-in at the airport. Passengers who fail to do so will be denied boarding unless they purchase a full-fare ticket at the airport ticket counter.

 
 17.Can I use my credit card to buy a ticket for someone else? 
 A:

Yes, so long as that person is traveling on the same flight with you.  If you, as the credit card holder, will not be among the travel party, you must present your credit card to EVA Air and sign an indemnity form. This can be done in one of two ways:
1.  Visit any EVA Air office during business hours and at least 48 hours before the passenger's scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card and sign an Indemnity of Payment form.
2.  Visit the EVA Air counter at the airport at least one hour before scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card and sign an Indemnity of Payment form.

 18.After my seat has been selected and confirmed, can I change it online ? 
 A:Please contact an EVA Air reservation office to make changes in your seat if you selected and confirmed it online. 
 19.Can I reserve a special meal using the EVA online booking system ? 
 A:Yes, special meals are available to passengers for age, medical, dietary or religious reasons, and you can reserve one using our Web site because of any of these requirements at least 24 hours before your scheduled flight departure.
(Exception: There is no meal service, provide drinks only of Taipei-Kaohsiung v.v. flights.)
 If the special meal you require is not listed in our meal list online, please contact one of our reservation offices.

If you need special meal services on another airline, EVA can make your request but cannot guarantee that the carrier can provide it. Special meal service depends upon whether the other airline has it available or not.
 
 20.How far in advance can I book my flight? What flights are available for online booking ? 
 A:The time period for bookings varies, depending upon which of  four different types of trips you are ticketing.
1. If all flight segments are on EVA Air and travel is point-to-point one-way/ round-trip, you can book flights seven hours in advance of scheduled departure but no more than 354 days ahead of time.
Ex. Taipei - Los Angeles -Taipei; Bangkok - x/Taipei - Los Angeles - x/Taipei - Bangkok
2. If all flight segments are on EVA Air and the trip includes a return journey with a domestic surface sector in the originating and/or destination country, please refer to notes 1, 2 and 3 below.
Ex. Taipei - Los Angeles - San Francisco -Taipei (travel between Los Angeles and San Francisco is at the passenger's own expense); San Francisco –Taipei - Los Angeles
3. Travel may also include flight segments in USA/Canada sectors on American Airlines (AA),Continental Airlines (CO), America West (HP) and/or Air Canada (AC) for travel to/from Austin TX/ Chicago IL/ Dallas-Fort Worth TX/ Houston TX/ Las Vegas NV/ Phoenix AZ/ San Diego CA/ St Louis MO and Toronto OT. Please also refer to notes 1, 2 and 3.
Ex. Taipei - Los Angeles – Houston - San Francisco - Taipei. Los Angeles – Houston - San Francisco travel could be on CO flights.
4. Travel may also be from Taipei to Shanghai CN with flight segments on Shanghai Airlines (FM). Please refer to notes 1, 2 and 3.
Note 1:  Available only for Taiwan and USA/Canada travel.
Note 2:  Taiwan trips can be booked online 72 hours in advance of scheduled departure but no more than 11 months ahead of time.
Note 3:  For USA/Canada travel, flights can be booked online seven days in advance of scheduled departure but no more than 11 months in advance.
 
 21.How will I know when my ticket has been issued ? 
 A:As soon as you complete and confirm your booking, a reservation reference number and ticket number will be displayed on the screen immediately or such information will be provided by e-mail afterward. 
 22.Is it secure to purchase an air ticket on the website ? 
 A:Yes, it's secure. While you type in sensitive information such as credit card details to purchase an air ticket on the website, all your personal information will be automatically converted into codes before being securely dispatched over the Internet. Your personal data will be used to assist EVA AIR in providing better services to you. We will not sell or rent the data to third parties without your consent.
