  1. A maximum of four passengers (including children) can be booked with each transaction provided that one of the adult passengers is the cardholder who pays for the transaction. (Someone is considered to be a 'child' if his/her age is between 2 to 11)(The passenger who travels with the child should be 16 or elder than 16 years old). You are required to present the credit card used to purchase the ticket during check-in at the airport. For identification at the check-in counter, you must use a credit card with the card number and name stamped into it. You are required to input your first name and last name exactly as displayed on the credit card. Passengers who fail to do so will be denied boarding unless they purchase a full-fare ticket at the airport ticket counter.

  2. EVA does not offer Internet booking/ticketing for infants who have not reached their 2nd birthdays. If you would like to buy an infant ticket, please contact EVA reservation office.

  3. EVA offers online booking for different types of ticket. The allowed length of time between booking the ticket and departure depends on the ticket type.
    (1) EVA Air point-to-point, one-way and round-trip travel bookings can be made from 354 days
         until 7 hours before departure. Examples are Hong Kong–Taipei,
         Taipei–Los Angeles–Taipei, and Bangkok–Taipei (transit)–New York–Taipei
         (transit)–Bangkok.
    (2) For the following types of ticket, please refer to the table:
       (a) EVA Air open-jaw tickets. Examples are Taipei–Los Angeles / San Francisco–Taipei
           (travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco is at the passenger's own expense),
           and San Francisco–Taipei–Los Angeles.
       (b) EVA Air tickets with one or more stopovers on the trip. An example is
             New York–Taipei (stay for 3 days) –Bangkok–Taipei (transit)–New York
       (c) EVA Air tickets with onward destinations in North America, Europe or Mainland China
             operated by other carriers. An example is Taipei–Los Angeles–Houston
            –San Francisco–Taipei(Los Angeles–Houston–San Francisco sectors
             operated by a different carrier.)

  4. Any changes in travel date or routing are subject to relevant fare rules/conditions. Please contact an EVA ticketing office to make any necessary changes before the originally booked departure.

  5. EVA AIR seat selection function is available for flights depart 24hours after but within 100 days. Currently we do not provide modification function for a pre-select seat. Please contact EVA AIR reservation office for modification.

    Passengers who have used our advance seat selection service are requested to complete check-in procedures at least one hour before their flight is scheduled to depart. Due to certain unforeseen reasons, EVA reserves the right to adjust the seats other than those been pre-selected by passengers without prior notice.


  6. If you need special meal service, please be sure to include your request with your reservation at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure.
    (Exception: For Kaohsiung-Macau v.v. and BR818/MFM-TPE flights, only regular vegetarian meal is available as a special service.)
    If you need special meal services on another airline, EVA will include that request in your booking records but cannot guarantee it. This service depends upon whether the other airline offers it or not.

  7. Once an online booking is completed, EVA Air cannot allow name change. If the passenger is not traveling, please apply for a ticket refund. And to avoid any unnecessary inconvenience that may occur, please make sure your booking name is in the same way that it appears on your passport. If you are one of our Evergreen Club members, please also make sure that the name on your membership card is the same as that on your passport. For your convenience in accumulating mileage and other frequent flyer club benefits, always use your name as it is reflected on your Evergreen Club membership for online bookings.

  8. For wait-list bookings, please contact our reservation office. These bookings can not be processed online.

  9. EVA accepts VISA, Master Card, American Express, JCB and Diners Club. For identification at the check-in counter, you must use a credit card with the card number and name stamped into it. You are required to input your first name and last name exactly as displayed on the credit card.

    For itineraries originating in the U.S.A./Canada which includes other carriers’ flight, the credit card used for payment must be issued from the U.S.A./Canada and the billing address must also be within the U.S.A./Canada.

  10. Charges will reflect taxes, airport fees and associated travel charges in addition to ticket fare. Most of these fees are set by government authorities or airport operators from arrival and departure points. These taxes and associated charges may be included or excluded in fares, and you may also be required to pay additional taxes or associated travel charges upon arrival or departure at an airport.

    For itineraries with paper tickets and originating in the U.S.A./Canada, tickets will be sent to your credit card billing address via express delivery and a non-refundable shipping fee will be charged to the credit card used to pay for the tickets. Ticket fares and any non-refundable shipping fee will be shown as separate items on your credit card bill.

  11. The ticket you purchase online may be an electronic ticket or a paper ticket, depending upon your itinerary.

    The E-ticket can be issued if all flights operated by EVA AIR and EVA AIR offers interline e-ticketing with following airlines -Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Air China, Air Macau, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Thai Airways, and Bangkok Airways. Electronic tickets are far more convenient than paper tickets. After an electronic ticket is issued, all of your ticket data is stored EVA’s electronic ticketing database. Upon check-in at airport, you can easily get your boarding pass by presenting passport and credit card that was used to pay for the ticket.

    A paper ticket will be issued if an electronic ticket is not serviceable for your itinerary. For an itinerary originating in Taiwan, your ticket should be picked up at the ticketing counter at EVA airport office two hours prior to scheduled departure time. For an itinerary originating in the U.S.A./Canada, your ticket will be sent to your credit card billing address by express delivery.

  12. Our EVA online system provides booking, buying, ticketing, booking inquiry, refund application and refund inquiry services. To make any changes in the flights you have booked, you will need to contact our ticketing offices. Refund processing time is about two months, and any applicable service charge will be applied accordingly. (Refunds for paper tickets will be processed after the ticket has been received by an EVA ticketing office.)
