 Q:How do I know if my ticket has expired ? 
 A:Generally, if no portion of the ticket is used, the validity of the ticket is one year from the date of issue. Once the ticket is used, the validity governed with the connecting fare rule will be applied and counted from the date of commencement of travel. However, if the ticket was issued with special restrictions, such restrictions will then be applied. 
 Q:Can I get a refund for an expired ticket ? 
 A:A request for refund shall be no later than one year after the expiry of the ticket. 
 Q:How do I refund a ticket ? 
 A:Refund of the ticket should be referred to the original issuing office. For example, if the ticket was purchased from a travel agent, you should contact the travel agent; if the ticket was purchased from an EVA office, then you should contact that EVA office for ticket refund. 
 Q:How long will it take to process the refund for a lost ticket ? 
 A:Normally, the time taken to process a refund is subject to the original payment method. Tickets paid for with cash can be refunded may take 90 days; those paid for by credit card may take 135 days. 
 Q:Why does it take so long to process a refund for a lost ticket ? 
 A:The airline must ensure that the ticket in question was never used, refunded or reissued as a replacement ticket. This investigation takes a substantial period of time. 
 Q:Who is eligible to use an infant fare ticket? What is the discount for infants? 
 A:Children who are yet to reach their second birthday may travel with an infant fare ticket. Generally, infant fare is 10 percent of the full adult published fare. However, various infant discounts may be applied on different journeys. 
 Q:Who is eligible to use a child fare ticket? What is the discount for children? 
 A:Children older than 2 years of age but yet to reach their 12th birthday may travel with a child fare ticket. Generally, child fare is 75 percent of the full adult published fare. However, various child discounts may be applied on different journeys. 
 Q:If an infant reaches two years of age while traveling with EVA Air, will they be required to have their own seat or will the fare difference need to be paid? 
 A:

According to CAA regulations, an aircraft shall be equipped with a seat for each person who is over two years of age.
Beginning Nov. 1, 2004, infants who reach their second birthday while traveling on an EVA Air flight must, in accordance with safety regulations, begin to occupy their own seat. The applicable child's fare must be paid for all sectors flown after the child reaches two years of age.

 
 Q:I have made a confirmed booking with a travel agent. Can I buy a ticket with EVA Air or a different travel agent using the same booking ? 
 A:You have to ask the travel agent who made the original booking to release the reservation record to the third party for ticket issuance. Otherwise, the original booking may be canceled by the original booking agent. 
 Q:Can I change my booking even though I have a confirmed flight and ticket? What should I do to make the rebooking ? 
 A:You may make a reservation change within the validity of the ticket provided no rebooking restrictions exist for the ticket. You may only need to contact EVA Air for rebooking and provide the representative with a ticket number. However, passengers are advised to contact an EVA Air ticketing office to check ticket validity and for further confirmation. 
 Q:Can I fly with EVA Air using a ticket that was originally issued for another carrier ? 
 A:You may need to contact the original issuing carrier or transporting carrier for endorsing the flight coupon to EVA. Furthermore, you may have to pay the fare difference if there is one. 
 Q:I won't be able to use my ticket for some reason. Can I give it to someone else to use it? 
 A:According to International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations, the name on the ticket cannot be changed and therefore can't be used by other people.
